This vacancy was posted on 12/22/09 We are seeking energetic, dependable and committed individuals with a background in music and/or music education to provide band coaching to small rock/pop ensembles for the purposes of live performance and recordings.
The applicant:
• Must demonstrate an understanding of music concepts and be able to communicate those concepts to students
• Must play one or more musical instruments proficiently
• Must demonstrate the ability to run sound equipment
• Must participate in a teaching demonstration as part of the interview process
Teaching certificate, music degree(s), and/or extensive music experience preferred; those who are currently enrolled in a music degree program and/or with work experience will also be considered.

We are creating a national system of music schools, based on a very successful model with current sites in Bethesda & Gaithersburg, Maryland and McLean, South Riding, and Lansdowne, Virginia.
