We are seeking an experienced Audio Engineer for a live music venue.
Experience and Education:
-3+ years of audio engineering experience with live sound
-Bachelors degree, associates degree, or diploma in Audio Engineering (not necessary but preferred)
Job Description
-Responsible to the Technical Director for successful day to day operation of The Gramophone stage shows and events
-Manages and operates Soundcraft GB4 console and is responsible for sound checks, live shows/events, equipment placement, volume and quality of sound.
-Conferring with acts to determine and achieve desired sound for a show
-Provide professional FOH and monitor mixes for shows
-Operate stage lighting system and projections
-Take digital video and digital photos and upload to social media
-Use DAW to record/bounce audio of performances.
-Operate our webcasting (ustream) service
-Setup, tear down and patching of audio equipment
-Other duties as assigned by the Technical Director
Knowledge of music theory and proficient on a musical instrument a plus.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, willingness to be part of and contribute to a successful team and the desire to improve one's craft. Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
This position is 1-5 nights (6-35 hours a week, depending on show schedule) and reports to the Technical Director
Compensation is $13/hr.
