We are seeking an Audience Services Manager.
SUMMARY:
-Manage the box office and front-of-house operations and sell tickets for over two hundred events per season.
-Maintain box office accounting procedures and, in doing so, work closely with the staff of the Business Office.
-Implement and oversee the hiring, training, scheduling, payment and supervision of the Assistant Audience Services Manager and student staff of box office cashiers, house managers and ushers including access and safety training.
-Provide facility renters procedural information, guidance, reports and settlement statements for box office and front-of-house operations.
-Communicate with and advise internal departments on box office procedures and services for special concerts.
-Consign and sell tickets through ticketing system.
-Pursue accounts receivables from renters as necessary.
-Communicate regularly and efficiently with stage and technical staff regarding relevant production issues.
-Secure proper House/Box Office Management for several concerts in June, July and early August. These events, which fall outside of the 44 week employment period, will be scheduled and paid on a contracted per-service basis. The ASM is not obligated to perform these duties him/herself – only to ensure that the events are covered by an appropriately trained and responsible individual approved by the Director of Performance Services.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
-BA/BS degree and at least two years of experience in box office management.
-Experience in house management and customer service required.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word required and experience with computer ticketing programs.
-Availability to work flexible and extended hours as needed. Availability on weekends is required.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks and challenging personalities with grace, poise and precision.
-Excellent arithmetic and written/verbal communication skills
Preferred:
-Knowledge of classical music and classical music concert production.
-Experience working with Select Ticketing’s computerized ticketing system.
-Accounting and bookkeeping experience.
