The Department of Music invites applications for an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) or Associate Professor (tenured) position in ethnomusicology or closely related field.
We seek an accomplished and adventurous scholar and teacher to join a department committed to studying music from a range of perspectives, and to crossing boundaries among scholarly disciplines. Specialty is open but should complement or enhance existing departmental strengths. Responsibilities include both undergraduate and graduate teaching, and a commitment to departmental administration is required. Ph.D. must be in hand by appointment date of August 25, 2009.
