We are coming to Texas. The company that operates after school music programs in hundreds of schools on the west coast of the United States from California to Washington State is now contracting with school districts in the Dallas and Rockwall area. We are looking for instructors, area coordinators, trainers, and administrative support people. Work part time hours doing what you love. You need a strong music background, teaching skills, and decent piano skills. The ability to play other musical instruments is an advantage. You, also, need great people skills to deal with school personnel, parents, and children. You must be available during weekday afternoons. You will need a reliable vehicle with space to hold a few keyboards. This is a fun, after school program for kids, so we want people who not only play piano, but also know how to work with kids, how to motivate and inspire them! We have our own method books and program materials, including music learning games and activities, and we'll train how to use them. Classes begin in January, and are on weekday afternoons on the school campuses. We teach kids to play their favorite pop songs and movie themes, so knowledge of what's current in music is a big plus.
