We are celebrating our 32nd season, and are seeking a Sound Engineer to tour year round. Home base in NYC area, but the show tours the Northeast as well.
Responsibilities include mixing all shows and overseeing all audio on tour, including but not limited to:
•Load in and load out, set-up of sound system and staging
•Setting up the back line for an 8 piece band
•All maintenance / cleaning of audio systems
Associated tasks as assigned
Skills required:
•Strong understanding of audio systems and mixing -Ability to head up audio department completely
•Knowledge of a variety of microphones and wireless microphone systems
•Knowledge of in-ear monitors
•Soldering skills
•Ability to climb a 40' mast
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to learn the skills and knowledge of a touring system. Salary is $800 a week. This is considered a FT position - benefits after 90 days as well. Also, boarding and all meals provided while touring. Position reports dually to Operations and Artistic.
Relocation: Yes, prefers Northeast, but all welcome
