Sean Bones US Tour & Album Stream

Friday June 15th is the launch of Sean Bones‘ Jorts Across America Summer Tour. Sean will play a total of 15 gigs over the next few weeks, seeing him travel from Minneapolis, down through the Midwest, out to the East Coast for dates in New York and Washington D.C., then working his way through Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee, onwards to end with a Free gig at MOTR in Cincinnati.

The tour celebrates his second full length LP, Buzzards Boy, and offers up “a new band, new tunes, new moves, new grooves”. The LP was written and recorded in 2011, as a follow up to Sean’s debut album ‘Rings’ (2009, Frenchkiss Records), and explores deeper into his fun-chilled-surf-reggae style.

This time around, Sean searched out producer Shane Stoneback, who had previously worked with Vampire Weekend among others, where they laid the foundation of the record. However, Sean ended up finishing the project by himself, in a variety of rehearsal and recording spaces, using reverb-laden surf guitars and loose percussion as the backbone of his sound, whilst also dabbling in hip hop beats, folky storytelling, and pop songwriting. He also chose to call upon Fool’s Gold’s Garrett Ray and Lewis Pesacov for backin on the lead single, ‘Here Now’.
