New Dan Deacon single ‘True Thrush’ from forthcoming ‘America’ LP

Dan Deacon True Thrush

It’s hip-summer-festival-anthem-season-o’clock!

Baltimore-based Dan Deacon has just released the second single from his forthcoming album ‘America‘, a hectic melee of instruments woven into ‘True Thrush‘. The single is available to buy from iTunes now, or you can stream it below…

Described as an “anthemic, fist-pumping summer jam, and America’s real, honest-to-god single”, True Thrush takes us deeper into the electronically-tinged thranging of the multi-instrumentalist’s sound. The first single to be shared from the album was ‘Lots’, which sure whetted our appetite for the full LP, which is available from Domino Records in a cool array of packages and limited formats from August 28th.

Deacon’s first album for three years shows signs of many influences and expressions yet somehow still remains encased under the ‘Dan Deacon’ banner. Having said that, we are yet to hear the four-part ‘America’ title track, and so who knows what kind of magical journey that will take us on…. roll on August 28th!
