Coachella 2012 Line-up Announced

Twin weekend events in the California desert.
Being one of the biggest music festivals in the US, we get very excited for Coachella each year, and we’re obviously not the only ones; the 2011 event sold out in just one week, breaking all records for the previous 11 years.
This week we welcomed the official line-up announcement, which sees the Black Keys, Radiohead and Dr Dre & Snoop Dogg as the closing headliners for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, respectively. Other noteworthy acts in the world of live and DJ music include Pulp, Amon Tobin, Jimmy Cliff, David Guetta, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Justice, Florence & the Machine, Girl Talk, DJ Shadow and Bon Iver. It seems that Coachella are maintaining their youth-orientated billings and still keeping things fairly diverse, with music covering indie rock, techno, folk, hip-hop, dubstep and more.
If the 2012 line-up sounds like your jam, then you may have a little more luck than previous years, seeing as the festival is now being duplicated across two weekends. The epic weekends will take place on April 13th-15th, and again on April 20th-22nd. Same three-day format, same headliners, same value each time, but now twice as many tickets available without additional crowding issues. Is this a little too ambitious for Coachella? We will soon see – 2012 tickets are available from THIS FRIDAY (13th January (lucky for some)) at the official website.
